Better Future

At madre natura, we believe fashion can be a force for good. Every garment we create is a step toward a better future one that respects the earth, values craftsmanship, and prioritises people over profit.

We design timeless pieces using natural fibres, organic and deadstock materials, and plastic free trims always in small, considered runs. By slowing down and staying close to the process, we reduce waste, protect resources, and ensure that every product is made with care and intention.

Our garments are built to last, and we support this with circular programs that extend the life of each piece keeping clothing in use and out of landfill.

In 2021, we launched the mn_CPP Climate Positive Project in partnership with One Tree Planted. For every product we make (not just sell), we plant a native tree to help regenerate Australian forests affected by the 2019–20 Black Summer Bushfires. These trees support biodiversity and restore vital habitat for native wildlife.

We know the future of fashion depends on the choices we make today and we’re committed to making better ones, every step of the way.

Ethical

We believe ethics should never be an afterthought they’re the foundation of everything we do.

All of our design and production takes place in Sydney, Australia, where we work closely with local makers who bring our collections to life with skill and care. By choosing to produce locally, we maintain transparency, reduce our footprint, and ensure safe, fair, and respectful working conditions.

Our makers are paid above award wages, and we prioritise long-term relationships built on trust and shared values.

We invite you to get to know the people behind your clothes through our mn_Makers series a celebration of craftsmanship, culture, and connection.

Circular

Closing the loop is at the heart of our philosophy.

We design for circularity from the very beginning considering a product’s full life cycle at every step.

Our garments are made using responsibly sourced materials such as GOTS-certified organic cotton, TENCEL™, raw biodegradable fibres, and non-virgin recycled materials always plastic-free wherever possible. Every trim, tag, and piece of packaging is carefully chosen to minimise impact, using post-consumer recycled paper, natural fibres, and biodegradable alternatives.

To extend the life of our garments, we offer complimentary mending for the lifetime of every madre natura product. This commitment to care helps keep clothing in use, reduces waste, and ensures our pieces remain beautiful over time. See mn_Circular

As part of our vision to build a circular fashion house, we’ve developed a post-use program in partnership with the Australian Textile Recycling Factory. This allows us to responsibly recycle fabric off-cuts and garments that have reached the end of their life.

Slow Fashion

madre natura is built on the principles of slow fashion a holistic approach that ties together our values of circularity, ethics, local craftsmanship, and designing for a better future.

To lessen our impact on the planet, we create in small, considered runs often through pre-order or custom-fit allowing us to minimise waste, avoid overproduction, and respond with intention, not urgency.

Each piece is crafted from high-quality fabrics, trims, and finishes that are made to last. The result is a wardrobe of timeless garments that are luxurious, comfortable, and seasonless designed to be worn every day, year after year.

Slowing down allows us to honour every part of the process from the hands that make your clothes to the materials we source, and the community we serve.
